Chris Yake was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Connecticut in 1973. In the creative environment Chris was brought up in, he was encouraged to paint at an early age. Going to Western Conn.State Univ. and the University of Urbino in Italy in '88-'89 to study fine art, Chris developed the skills and keen observation needed to paint successfully. Since then, Chris has traveled to Europe, Mexico and Ireland and has sold many paintings of his experiences there.

1989 WSCU Senior Exhibit - honorable mention.
1989 New Haven Paint and Clay Club - acceptance into juried exhibit.
1990 Danbury Library, "Images of Italy" - painting sold.
1991 Ridgefield Library, "Images of Italy" - full-page interview in Ridgefield Press.
1992 Stamford Nature Center and Museum 25th Annv. Show - acceptance into juried exhibit.
1993 - 2008 Paintings hung and sold at various businesses and restaurants......
